New! Guerlain Muguet’s sprig of lily-of-the-valley is fashioned into a glittering jewel

Each year, Guerlain imagines a fragrant tribute to one of France's most charming traditions: the celebration of the lily-of-the-valley, or 'muguet', offered every year on May 1st.

Since 2006, this prestigious limited edition embodies Guerlain’s respect for traditional savoir-faire. For the 2022 Edition, a delicate sprig of this evocative flower is transformed into a glittering jewel by the artisans of Parisian jewellery studio Atelier Truscelli.
Paved with glittering stones set against voluptuous leaves, Muguet’s sprig of lily-of-the-valley is fashioned into a glittering jewel, gifted by Francesco Truscelli to the Maison as the most elegant of lucky charms. Each ornament is fastened by hand onto the Bee Bottle by Guerlain’s renowned Dames de Table with a silver cord, in an exclusive and numbered limited edition.

In 1908, Guerlain Perfumer Jacques Guerlain unveiled an olfactory masterpiece: a faithful rendition of the olfactory trail of the lily-of-the-valley, whose delicate fragrance was traditionally considered impossible to recreate. Today, his iconic formula has been recomposed by Guerlain Master Perfumer Thierry Wasser, adopting green and rosy facets that form a vernal setting for the lush floral materials that enrich his composition. Jasmine sambac absolute, rose essence and absolute: a delicate, ephemeral sillage that celebrates the return of spring.
"Jewellery is about dreaming. To enhance its beauty, we must craft the matter with our hands." - Francesco Truscelli. A specialist in one-off pieces and bespoke jewels, Francesco Truscelli still loves, as he did when he first trained, giving a second life to family jewels by redesigning them. Tourmalines, sapphires, turquoises, garnets, aquamarines, pearls… To him, stones are “precious and mysterious fruits of the earth”, which he sets into opulent handcrafted designs.

When crafting Muguet 2022, Atelier Truscelli employed lost-wax casting to create a single, exquisite piece, down to the smallest detail. Molten brass is poured into each wax mould and polished by hand to ensure a flawless outline, before over 155 crystals are individually set alongside the delicate curls of its cold-enameled leaves. A masterpiece of refinement, each piece requires several hours of meticulous work.
