Schiaparelli: 70 meters of silk taffeta

Schiaparelli signs a sculptural wedding dress for her fall-winter 2021-2022 haute couture collection

The haute couture fall-winter 2021-2022 collection was presented in the Schiaparelli Place Vendôme salons. Like arty sculptures, the rooms with impressive volumes and brilliant details adorned the space with their shimmering effect. But it is indeed the extraordinary wedding dress imagined by Daniel Roseberry that caught all eyes, like a traditional finale of an haute couture fashion show.

A wedding dress hesitating between a princess ball and a frenzied party

More than 70 meters of ivory silk taffeta make up this wedding dress with a style between princely ball with its exaggerated XXL volumes and disco evening with this bustier with mirrored reflections. Entirely hand-made organ pipe folds give the shape to this piece, while rhinestones embroidered like shards of a mirror and repainted for an antique effect give the illusion of an arty sculpture.

“ We have had so many requests from clients who come to seek this irreverent grandeur that we have made it ” explained designer Daniel Roseberry around this bridal creation. To complete this dramatic look, a pair of golden brass earrings feature a cross, three teeth adorned with silver drops and a link representing a silver nose with a teardrop piercing. Extraordinary know-how for a spectacular result.
