MUST HAVE SS'17: Valentino the tropical scenery of Cuba

Working closely with the artisans and with the Italian expertise has been fundamental. It has allowed me to understand and perceive the rules in order to break and rewrite them,” creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli explains.

Valentino's Resort '17 collection features motifs inspired by the tropical scenery of Cuba. Woven with touches of silk and metallic fibers, this jacquard midi skirt depicts parrots, palm leaves and pineapples and is smoothly lined to enhance its slight A-line silhouette.
Try it with a crisp white shirt or take your cue from the label's eclectic styling and team it with a striped knit.

Valentino's ethereal gown was featured on the Spring '17 runway, marking Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli's first solo debut. Crafted from billowy silk-chiffon, it has a layered bodice for added fluidity and is lined in georgette. Gold accessories will beautifully complement the sage-green hue.

For Resort '17 Valentino explores Cuba's African influences. From the collection, this silver-tone cuff is crafted with a vibrant beaded panel, encircled by decorative filigree swirls and flowers. Wear yours with printed dresses and skirts.
