MUST HAVE: Eugenia Kim's playful hats

Eugenia Kim began designing hats to disguise a bad haircut in the '80s and her pieces quickly garnered attention from boutique owners in her New York neighborhood. Part of her Spring '17 collection, this Panama style is hand-woven from straw and pressed into shape. It's finished with two painted eel flowers and frayed edges.

Eugenia Kim created her first design as a disguise to cover a bad haircut, and after receiving a lot of attention the label was born. This two-tone 'Mirasol' sunhat is made from breathable hemp and embellished with feathers – a signature of the brand. The internal grosgrain band ensures a secure fit.

Eugenia Kim's playful slogan hats have a host of celebrity fans, including Beyoncé and Mariah Carey. Made from lightweight straw, this wide-brim style is embellished with black crystals that spell out 'Darling'. It's finished with an internal grosgrain band for a secure fit.

Eugenia Kim's 'Flavia' tote is a playful nod to her signature hats. Woven in Italy from straw, this grosgrain-trimmed style has a zipped pocket at the base for your sunglasses, phone and keys, plus an enveloping brim that's perfectly sized for a beach towel and sandals. We think the wooden handles are a chic accent.
